中国建筑学会（THE ARCHITECTURAL SOCIETY OF CHINA）是一个学术性的社会团体，成立于1953年10月，是经国家民政部批准注册的独立法人社团。学会的宗旨是：团结组织建筑科学技术工作者，面向现代化，面向世界，面向未来，促进科学技术的繁荣和发展，促进科学技术的普及和推广，促进科技人才的成长和提高，为加速实现我国现代化做出积极贡献。
中国建筑学会贯彻经济建设必须依靠科技进步、科技工作必须面向经济建设的方针，坚持百家争鸣，倡导科学道德和优良学风，积极开展活动。主要任务是：积极开展学术活动，组织重点学术课题的探讨和考察，活跃学术思想，提高学术水平；大力普及建筑科技知识，积极推广先进技术；为城乡建设和建筑业的协调发展提供技术咨询和技术服务；积极开展国际间的学术交流活动，加强同国外的科技团体和科技工作者之间的友好往来；开展继续教育，推动知识更新，开展技术培训和青少年科技活动；编辑出版学术刊物和科普读物，为学术活动、科技普及和科技工作者服务；向党和政府反映科技工作者的意见和要求，维护科技工作者的合法权益；举荐人才，表彰奖励在学术交流、科技普及等活动中取得优异成绩的科技工作者。
中国建筑学会在1955年以国家会员的身份加入了国际建筑师协会；1989年又以国家会员的身份加入了亚洲建筑师协会。
中国建筑学会设有个人会员（包括会员、资深会员、名誉会员、学生会员、外籍会员）和团体会员。目前，学会拥有个人会员近万人，团体会员单位300多个。中国建筑学会委托各直属分会和地方学会发展会员，并实行属地管理。
中国建筑学会的最高领导机构是全国会员代表大会，每四年召开一次，在大会闭会期间理事会是执行机构。
中国建筑学会目前设置有八个工作委员会，分别是：组织工作委员会、学术工作委员会、教育与职业实践工作委员会、咨询工作委员会、编辑工作委员会、科普工作委员会、财务工作委员会、国际合作工作委员会。
中国建筑学会设有二十一个专业分会，名称分别为：建筑师分会、建筑施工分会、小城镇建筑分会、抗震防灾分会、建筑防火综合技术分会、建筑史学分会、工程管理研究分会、生土建筑分会、建筑经济分会、室内设计分会、工程勘察分会、建筑结构分会、建筑材料分会、地基基础分会、建筑电气分会、暖通空调分会、建筑物理分会、建筑热能动力分会、体育建筑分会、给水排水研究分会、工业建筑分会。
全国除台湾省以外的三十一个省、自治区、直辖市，都设立有建筑学会或土木建筑学会，中国建筑学会与省级学会属于业务指导关系。
中国建筑学会设立并定期评颁的奖项有：中国建筑学会与建设部共同评颁的中国建筑界的最高奖“梁思成建筑奖”，此外，学会还设有中国建筑学会创作奖等一系列奖项。
中国建筑学会及所属分会出版的学术及科普刊物有《建筑学报》、《建筑结构学报》、《建筑热能通风空调》、《建筑知识》、《工程勘察》、《小城镇建设》、《工程抗震》、《建筑电气》、《暖通空调》、《施工技术》、《室内设计与装修》、《建筑经济》等多种刊物。
中国建筑学会的办事机构为学会秘书处，工作部门有：综合部、学术部、国际部、会员部、中国建筑学会科技培训中心、《建筑学报》编辑部、《建筑结构学报》编辑部、《建筑知识》编辑部。

Founded in October 1953, the Architectural Society of China (ASC) is an academic society and an independent corporate body registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China. The objectives and aims of the ASC are: by uniting and organizing the professionals of architectural science and technology, facing the modernization, facing the world, facing the future, to promote the blossom and development of the science and technology, to promote the popularization and generalization of the science and technology, to promote the growth and progress of the scientific and technological talents, making its active contribution to accelerate the pace in realizing the modernization of China.
ASC follows out the state policy that the economic development must depend on the scientific and technological progress and the scientific and technological works must face the economic development, insists on the policy of “letting a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend”, sparkplugs the science ethics and the excellent academic ethos and actively develop its activities. The main tasks of ASC are: to actively develop the academic events, to organize discussions and visits on the major academic issues, to flourish the academic thoughts, to improve the academic level; to popularize the knowledge of the architectural science and technology, to spread out the advanced technology; to provide the technical consultation and service to the coordinative development of the urban and rural construction and the construction industry; to actively develop the international academic exchanges, to strengthen the friendly exchanges with the foreign scientific and technological groups and professionals; to develop the continue professional development, promote the update of knowledge, develop the technical cultivation and training as well as the scientific and technological activities of the youth; to edit and publish the academic periodicals and the scientific popularization magazines, to serve the academic activities, the popularization of science and technology as well as the technical professionals; to forward the suggestions and requests of the professionals to the Party and the government, to protect the legitimate right and interest of the scientific and technological professionals; to recommend talents, honor and award the scientific and technological professionals who have made outstanding achievements in the academic exchange and the popularization of science and technology.
ASC joined in the International Union of Architects as a national member in 1955 and joined in the Architects Regional Council of Asia as a national member in 1989.
The membership of the ASC consists of honorary members, fellows, members, student members and overseas members as well as corporative members. Up to now, ASC has over 10,000 members and over 300 corporative members. ASC entrusts its sub-institutes and local chapters to assist for admitting members and practise dependency administration.
The supreme leading organization of ASC is the National Members Assembly. The Assembly normally convenes every four years. During the interval of two assemblies, the ASC Council is the executive organization.
ASC has 8 working committees at present. They are: Organization Committee, Academic Committee, Science Popularization Committee, Consultation Committee, Education and Professional Practice Committee, Finance Committee, Editorial Committee and International Cooperation Committee.
ASC has 20 professional sub-institutes. They are: Architects Sub-Institute, Architectural History Sub-Institute, Building Physics Sub-Institute, Interior Design Sub-Institute, Engineering Survey Sub-Institute, Building Structure Sub-Institute, Groundwork and Foundation Sub-Institute, Aseismatic and Accident Prevention Sub-Institute, Construction Engineering Sub-Institute, Building Material Sub-Institute, HVAC Sub-Institute, Building Heating Energy and Power Sub-Institute, Building Electric Sub-Institute, Fire-proof and Comprehensive Technique Sub-Institute, Urban Transportation and Planning Sub-Institute, Sports Building Sub-Institute, Earth Construction Sub-Institute, Building Economy Sub-Institute, Engineering Management Sub-Institute and Small Townships Architecture Sub-Institute.
Except Taiwan Province, 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions have set up the local architectural societies or civil engineering and architectural societies. The ASC Headquarter maintains an operational directing relationship with all its local chapters.
ASC and the Ministry of Construction of China co-award the “ Liang Sicheng Architecture Medal” which is the supreme honour in the Chinese architectural field. The ASC awards also include the Architectural Creation Award and other awards.
The academic and science popularization periodicals published by ASC and its sub-institutes are : Architectural Journal, Journal of Building Structures and the Architectural Knowledge, Engineering Surveying, Small Township Construction, Aseismatic Engineering, Construction Electrics, Heating Ventilation and Air–conditioning, Construction Technology, Interior Design and Decoration, etc.
The ASC working organization is the ASC Secretariat. The working departments are the General Department, the Academic Department, the International Department, the ASC Scientific and Technological Training Center, the Editorial Office of Architectural Journal, the Editorial Office of Journal of Building Structures and the Editorial Office of Architectural Knowledge.
