Founded in 1953, the Architectural Society of China (ASC)is an independent body approved and registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, also the member of China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).

AIMS AND TASKS

The fundamental objectives and tasks of the ASC are: to carry out the policy of “letting a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend”, to popularize various academic activities, to edit and publish periodicals in the academic and technological fields, to make consultations for important scientific and technological issues and projects, to evaluate and appraise and to organize international academic exchanges, symposia and study trips in order to enhance the prosperity of architectural creation and scientific and technological progress.
Being the bridge and tie linking between members as well as professionals in the field of building construction and the government as well as other professional organizations, the ASC reflects their opinions and desires, protects their legal rights, by recommending talents and giving commendations to the advanced so as to initiate good professional morals and excellent style of study.
