The 24th ARCASIA Council Meeting and ARCASIA Forum 12 was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from December 8-9th, 2003. The 14-person-delegation of the Architectural Society of China attended the meeting. The chairman and deputy chairman of the group are Mr. Zhou Chang (Secretary General of the ASC) and Mr. Zhang Xingjian (Deputy Chief Architect of Shanghai Institute of Architectural Design & Research Co., Ltd.) respectively. The members are Zhang Baiping (Director of International Relations Department of the ASC), Wang Bowei (Professor of Tongji University), Chai Peiyi (Chief Architect of Beijing Institute of Architectural Design), Li Xinggang (Deputy Chief Architect of China Architecture Design & Research Group), Liu Jiakun (Chief Architect of Jiakun Architect & Associates), Liu Enfang (President of Dushi Architectural Design Institute of Shanghai Modern Architectural Design Group), Ye Juhua (Senior Architect of the Nanjing Construction Committee), Wang Qionglin (Director of the Administrative Office of Fuzi Temple in Nanjing City), Yin Bo (Senior Architect of China Southwest Architectural Design and Research Institute), Wang Deli (City Planner of the City Planning Bureau of Zhuhai City), Wang Lijun (Lecturer of the Architectural School of Tianjin University) and Liang Jianlan (Architect of the Zhongyuan International Engineering and Design Research Institute).

  The ARCASIA Council Meeting was held in Dhaka Sheraton Hotel on December 8-9th, 2003. As the official representatives of ASC, Mr. Zhou Chang and Mr. Zhang Baiping attended the Council Meeting. Professor Wang Bowei, representing ASC, attended the ACAE meeting held simultaneously. The opening ceremony of ARCASIA Forum 12 was held in Bangladesh-China Friendship Convention Hall, which was designed by the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design, in the morning of December 10. Minister of the Ministry of Culture in Bangladesh attended the ceremony and presented an address. About 500 representatives were present at the meeting. A great number of topics were discussed and decisions concluded during the Council Meeting.

  The 25th ARCASIA Council Meeting and ARCASIA Congress 11 will be held in Macao, China in November 2004.
